European Media & Investment Group · Larnaca, Cyprus

Kashmir Limited

Kashmir Limited is a European business group headquartered in Larnaca, Cyprus. The group operates directly in media, advertising, cultural investments, and real estate from its Cyprus headquarters, while providing strategic direction to wholly-owned subsidiaries across five European markets. Kashmir also serves as a media advisory and cultural consulting hub, leveraging deep expertise in content production, publishing, art market dynamics, and cross-border media partnerships.

The Cyprus headquarters coordinates cross-border operations spanning Poland, Portugal, Germany, and Sweden. Kashmir’s advisory capabilities encompass media strategy consulting for European broadcasters, cultural sector expertise including art market intelligence and collection management, and strategic coordination between group companies to maximise synergies across publishing, hospitality, and media production.

These partnerships represent a growing segment of the group’s cross-border media activities, managed centrally from the Cyprus headquarters with full contract administration, licensing, and IFRS-compliant revenue management.

Portfolio Building Through Acquisition

Kashmir has actively built its portfolio through strategic acquisitions: Altenberg Sp. z o.o. (2022), ALT.PL Sp. z o.o. (2022), and Na Luz de Portugal Unipessoal Lda (2023). Each acquisition was evaluated against the group’s core criteria of sector alignment, operational synergy, and long-term value creation potential, with Board approval following structured due diligence conducted from the Cyprus headquarters.

Cyprus Heritage & Business Culture

Kashmir’s choice of Cyprus as its operational headquarters reflects more than regulatory convenience. Cyprus occupies a unique position as a strategic gateway between Europe and the Middle East, with a business culture shaped by centuries of Mediterranean trade. As an EU member state since 2004, Cyprus combines the stability and regulatory rigour of European frameworks with a tradition of family-driven enterprise, long-term relationship building, and the commercial diligence that has characterised Cypriot business for generations. These values – patience, loyalty, and a commitment to substance over appearance – align naturally with Kashmir’s own approach to investment management.

Next Step: Active Expansion

The next step is underway. Kashmir Limited is currently rolling out the publishing operation into two additional European markets: Germany and Sweden. Partnership frameworks are in advanced stages, editorial teams are being onboarded, and first-title launches are scheduled for the coming quarters. The model extends Altenberg’s proven editorial approach, creator economy partnerships, and full-service publishing infrastructure into markets where demand for high-quality, creator-driven content is accelerating.

Germany — Europe’s Largest Book Market

The German-language book market represents the largest publishing market in Europe and the third-largest globally. Kashmir is evaluating opportunities to introduce Altenberg’s creator-publisher model to German-speaking audiences, drawing on the group’s established editorial processes and content creation expertise. The strategic assessment phase includes market research, potential local partnership identification, and analysis of regulatory requirements for publishing operations in Germany.

Sweden — Scandinavian Publishing

Sweden’s publishing market, known for its high per-capita book consumption and strong digital adoption, presents an attractive opportunity for the group’s content-driven publishing approach. Kashmir is conducting early-stage research into the Swedish market, exploring potential partnerships with local content creators and assessing the infrastructure requirements for establishing publishing operations in Scandinavia.

Both expansion initiatives are subject to Board approval and will proceed through Kashmir’s standard investment evaluation framework, ensuring that any new market entry meets the group’s criteria for strategic alignment, operational feasibility, and long-term value creation potential.
