Gallery partnerships strengthen art acquisition programme

Kashmir Limited’s Cultural Investments division has formalised partnerships with several Polish and European galleries to support and strengthen the group’s art acquisition programme. These partnerships provide the division with enhanced access to emerging artists, priority viewing of new works, exhibition opportunities, and ongoing market intelligence.

The Board has approved a framework governing gallery relationships, including acquisition protocols, due diligence standards, and guidelines for evaluating artist representation arrangements. The framework ensures that all acquisitions through gallery partnerships meet the division’s established criteria for artistic merit, provenance documentation, and independent valuation.

The collection strategy has been refined to emphasise contemporary Polish painting as the core focus, with selective acquisitions from the broader European art scene where works demonstrate exceptional quality and alignment with the collection’s curatorial direction. Gallery partnerships are expected to play an increasingly important role in identifying emerging talent and providing early access to significant works.

The development of structured gallery relationships represents a maturation of Kashmir’s approach to art investment, moving from opportunistic acquisitions to a more systematic and professionally managed programme. The Board views these partnerships as essential to the long-term success of the Cultural Investments division.
